Bruzkus Greenberg designed the modular planter series Brut for Gravelli, bringing together the concrete atelier’s craftsmanship and deep understanding of the material with the architects’ characteristic sense of form, contrast, and material honesty. Heavy, cubic, and almost archaic in form, the planters are lifted between their bases so that they appear to float; minimal and monolithic, a deliberate counterpoint to the lightness and organic abundance of the plants, combining material and formal restraint with opulence.
