[Alibaba Zoo Concept Store: A Scene-Based Spatial Practice to Redefine Offline Consumer Experiences]
The Alibaba Zoo Concept Store revolves around the theme of a “Forest Market,” creating an immersive retail space that blends natural aesthetics, experiential design, and brand storytelling. By breaking away from traditional display shelves and embracing a “product-as-scene” approach, the store establishes a new consumption ecosystem, becoming a landmark for young audiences seeking in-person experiences and social engagement.
Minimalist Spatial Aesthetics
Built on an orange-toned palette, the design integrates metal frames with lush greenery to break the cluttered feel of traditional retail environments. Through strategic use of white space and orderly displays, it highlights the vibrancy of the products while fostering a sense of visual clarity—achieving an aesthetic balance where “products naturally blend into the scene.”
Dual-Narrative Experiential Scenes
The space combines multimedia screens with real plants to craft an interactive “secret forest” ambiance, immersing consumers in a natural, sensory environment. Open metal shelving and iconically structured displays evoke the feel of a creative street market, making the browsing experience more engaging, relaxed, and fun.
