Located at Dujiangyan in Sichuan Province, the Touristic Area for Panda Reproduction and Research is one of AURA’s flagship projects due to the representativity of panda to Chinese culture. The project enables a substantive improvement of the accessibility and activity spots focusing on the main entry area and adjacent areas, thought the layout of a new main circulation system.
The unique natural atmosphere of the site inspires our renovation, intensifying the high value of the site, plus adding contemporary design assets, e.g. the fundamental integration of the site ecology and the reinforcement of the natural resources; together with an user-oriented approach that enhances the visitor’s experience and consolidates a new image for the park. Tiantuo tractor factory in Tianjin is an industrial heritage site, whose renovation has aimed to enhance the essence of the site and its historic outstanding contribution to the industrial development of China. AURA’s landscape design has intensified this character, creating a strong post-industrial atmosphere where the narrative is supported by material and sensory means: both combined recall the memory of the place and project it towards the future.

First Prize Competition for the Waterfront design of Wenzhou Outjiang river, China. AURA + ECADI. The new waterfront enjoys an outstanding location, bringing the city culture to the Outjiang river and overlooking the mountains skyline of Wenzhou. The landscape concept design reinforces the continuity to the urban structure of Wenzhou. Considering the urban axes, the integration of the circulation, landscape and water systems, the new waterfront interconnects and improves the relationship between the city and the river. The different character areas and the main nodes of activity, through the whole proposal guaranties the success of the landscape concept, and offers a great opportunity for the future development of the city.

The new waterfront enjoys an outstanding location, bringing the city culture to the Outjiang river and overlooking the mountains skyline of Wenzhou. The land...
