When installing a rubber track, paying attention to the following details ensures smooth installation and safe use:
Pre-installation Preparation
• Cleaning and Inspection: Clean the mud and debris from the track, drive wheel, guide wheel, and supporting wheel. Check if the track has cracks or wear, and if the wheels rotate flexibly.
• Tool Preparation: Prepare appropriate wrenches, crowbars, jacks, etc. Some equipment may require special installation tools.
Key Points During Installation
• Alignment: When fitting the track over the drive wheel and guide wheel, ensure the track's tooth grooves accurately engage with the wheels' teeth to avoid misalignment.
• Tension Adjustment: After installation, adjust the track tension. Usually, press the middle of the track with a finger; the sinking amount should be within the specified range (generally 10-30mm). Too loose, it may fall off; too tight, it will accelerate wear.
• Avoid Forced Prying: If installation is difficult, do not pry forcefully. Rotate the wheels to assist in alignment to prevent the rubber track from tearing.
Post-installation Inspection
• Start the equipment and drive at low speed for a short distance to observe if the track runs smoothly, with no deviation or abnormal noise.
• Check if the connecting parts are firm and ensure there is no looseness.
These details can effectively extend the service life of the rubber track and avoid failures caused by improper installation
