Fast IMU. Stable measurement. Less stopping.
How much time do you lose waiting for IMU initialization—or reinitializing when it drops out?

With Alpha 4AR Visual RTK, just walk a few steps to enter IMU mode. Once initialized, it stays stable through continuous measurement, including partially obstructed areas and steep tilt angles.

In our field test, accuracy stayed around 2 cm at a 60° tilt.
Less interruption. More time measuring.

Alpha 4AR | Landscape stakeout often means working with a lot of points, curved boundaries, and features packed into a small area.

With Alpha 4AR Visual RTK, AR Stakeout overlays the guidance directly onto the live site view. Follow the arrow, move to the target, and stake out the point.

1 cm stakeout accuracy helps keep the work both fast and precise.
From landscape layouts to foundation and solar PV stakeout, the Alpha 4AR is built for point-intensive field work.

Difficult Access. Reliable Measurements.
Standing water, steep terrain, and dense tree cover can make water conservancy surveying a challenge.
So how do you measure hard-to-reach points without stepping into the water?

On a recent water conservancy project, the Alpha 40 Optic-electric RTK helped the survey team measure across a channel using reflectorless laser measurement, without entering the water. At a waterlogged tunnel entrance, they also measured the tunnel crown, springlines, and channel edges.

The team reported smooth RTK operation in mountainous and wooded areas, without waiting for a fixed solution.
Less time dealing with difficult access. More practical ways to get the measurements done.

💚 Alpha Surveying Community | ☀️ A Sicilian sunrise, a quiet site, and another day in the field.
Team 3DGeoCloud was ready to get the survey started, with the Alpha 40 and Alpha 4i RTK already set up for the day’s work.

✨️ Different projects, different places, but the same goal: reliable equipment that helps surveyors get the job done in the field.

💚 This is what the Alpha Surveying Community is about — the people, the projects, and the real moments behind every survey.

How does Alpha 40 perform in water conservancy surveying?
From measuring across water channels to surveying tunnel entrances, the Alpha 40 Optic-electric RTK offers practical advantages for challenging fieldwork.

🔹 Reflectorless laser measurement for hard-to-reach points, with a range of up to 40 m.
🔹 GNSS positioning combined with laser measurement and inertial navigation.
🔹 A lightweight 680 g design for easier movement between survey points.
🔹 Reliable RTK performance in mountainous and tree-covered areas, according to field feedback.
Designed to help surveyors handle more demanding site conditions with greater flexibility.

🔎 Step By Step Alpha 40 | How do you level a site? and DSM Stakeout?
In this video, shows how to use the Alpha 40 Optic-electric RTK for site elevation control (DSM Stakeout) — from creating a surface to checking cut-and-fill values on site.

The workflow:
• Get a FIX solution
• Survey and save control points
• Create a surface using one, two, or three points, or a TIN file
• Set the required slope
• Stake out and check cut/fill values

For a level surface, simply set X and Y slope to 0.
A simple workflow for getting the site ready for grading.

Is your circular level out of position? It may need a quick calibration.
In this short tutorial, we show you how to check the circular level on a total station and what to do if the air bubble falls outside the reference circle.

A few simple adjustments can bring it back to center — just remember to keep the plate level centered throughout the calibration.

Save this one for your next instrument check.

Can’t get the plate bubble centered? It may be time for a calibration.
The plate bubble is an important part of total station setup. If the instrument has been unused for a long time or the calibration limits are exceeded, checking the bubble is a good place to start.

In this quick tutorial, we show how to:
• Level the instrument correctly
• Check whether the bubble is within the long graduation marks
• Adjust the leveling screws and calibration screws
• Recheck the bubble after calibration

A simple check that can help keep your total station properly leveled and ready for fieldwork.

One RTK. Multiple drones. One simple setup.
The Alpha 4AR Visual RTK is more than an AR stakeout receiver. It can also work as an RTK base station for drone operations.

Set it up once and send RTK corrections to multiple drones via NTRIP. It supports standard RTCM data and mainstream drone NTRIP protocols, with no extra protocol converter needed.

And when you’re working in remote areas without CORS or cellular coverage, the 4AR can transmit corrections locally over Wi-Fi.

Compact, lightweight, and ready for both ground surveying and drone operations.

✨️ Alpha Surveying Community | Nearly 200 meters deep in a quarry — and still holding FIX.
Our partner Geotechnical Uz recently shared field data and feedback from a quarry customer in Uzbekistan using the Alpha XBase and Alpha 5W.

With the base station around 200 meters above the rover, the system maintained a stable FIX solution through the 7W radio link.

On site, the rover was tracking 21 of 22 satellites, with 2 mm horizontal and 1.7 cm vertical accuracy.

The customer's feedback was simple: “I'm very satisfied with its performance, and I definitely recommend it.”

Real jobsite. Real data. Real feedback.
