Hybrid Solar + Storage Solution for an Off-grid Site β˜€οΈ ⚑

FFD POWER deployed a fully off-grid solar-plus-storage system in the United States, combining Galaxy 261 battery cabinets with 50kW hybrid inverters.

The system extends solar power from daytime generation into nighttime operation:
β˜€οΈ During the day, solar energy directly supplies the loads, while surplus generation charges the batteries.
πŸŒ™ After sunset, the stored energy is discharged to keep the loads running through the night.

Its modular and scalable architecture allows the customer to start with the capacity required today and expand the system step by step as the business grows.

Turning Factory Rooftop Solar into a More Flexible Energy Asset β˜€οΈπŸ”‹

FFD POWER deployed 12 Γ— Galaxy 261L all-in-one BESS cabinets for a plastics manufacturing facility, providing a total capacity of:
⚑ 1.5MW / 3.132MWh
πŸ”‹ 12 Γ— Galaxy 261L
β˜€οΈ Integrated with the factory’s grid-connected PV system
🏭 Solar self-consumption + grid export

During normal production, the BESS stores surplus solar energy and discharges it when factory demand exceeds PV generation, helping the customer increase onsite solar consumption and reduce electricity purchased from the grid.

When more value can be created through grid export, stored energy can also be discharged according to the customer’s energy strategy β€” allowing the same storage system to support both industrial energy cost optimization and solar energy trading.

One BESS, two sources of value: use more solar onsite and sell energy when it makes sense.

Solar Self-Consumption with Backup Power in Ukraine β˜€οΈπŸ”‹

FFD POWER deployed 9 Γ— Galaxy 261L all-in-one BESS cabinets for a solar-plus-storage project in Ukraine, providing a total capacity of 1.125MW / 2.349MWh.

The system stores surplus PV generation for later use, helping the customer increase solar self-consumption during normal grid-connected operation.

When grid power is interrupted, the BESS can also support off-grid operation and continue supplying site loads, adding an extra layer of energy resilience.

β˜€οΈ Better solar utilization
πŸ”‹ 2.349MWh energy storage
⚑ 1.125MW power capacity
πŸ”Œ Grid-connected + off-grid backup

One energy storage system, supporting both everyday energy optimization and power resilience.

A Wider View of 800V PV + BESS Integration in Ukraine βš‘πŸ”‹

A new look at our 800V solar-plus-storage project in Ukraine.

This new footage gives a better view of how the storage system is actually deployed across the solar plant, with two independent BESS sections visible together.

The complete project consists of 6 battery sections, each equipped with 5 Γ— Galaxy 418L all-in-one BESS units, for a total of:
⚑ 6.3MW / 12.54MWh
πŸ”‹ 30 Γ— Galaxy 418L
β˜€οΈ 6 distributed BESS sections
πŸ”Œ Native 800V AC integration

Each section connects directly to the existing 800V PV AC system. Because the Galaxy 418L provides native 800V output, no additional voltage-matching transformer is required between the BESS and the PV collection bus. Across a distributed project like this, direct integration helps reduce equipment and conversion stages, simplify the electrical topology, lower system losses and reduce overall installation complexity.

Unlocking Full Revenue Potential from Solar with AC-Coupled Energy Storage β˜€οΈπŸ”‹

FFD POWER deployed 8 Γ— Galaxy 261L all-in-one BESS cabinets for a solar-plus-storage project in Israel, providing a total capacity of 1MW / 2.088MWh.

The BESS is AC-coupled with the site’s existing PV system, allowing surplus solar generation to be stored rather than exported immediately. The stored energy can then be discharged according to the site’s energy strategy, helping improve PV utilization and create greater value from every kilowatt-hour generated.

System configuration:
⚑ 1MW / 2.088MWh total capacity
πŸ”‹ 8 Γ— Galaxy 261L all-in-one BESS cabinets
β˜€οΈ AC-coupled with the existing PV system
πŸ“ˆ Designed to improve solar utilization and energy value

With its modular all-in-one design, the system also provides a flexible and straightforward way to add energy storage to an existing solar installation.

Native 800V BESS Integration for a Large-Scale Solar Farm in Ukraine β˜€οΈπŸ”‹

FFD POWER is supporting a large-scale solar farm in Ukraine with a distributed battery energy storage solution designed around the site’s existing 800V electrical architecture.

The project consists of six distributed BESS blocks, each equipped with five Galaxy418L all-in-one cabinets. The five units shown here provide:
⚑ 1.05MW / 2.09MWh per block
πŸ”‹ 6.3MW / 12.54MWh across the complete system

Because both the PV inverters and the Galaxy418L operate natively at 800Vac, the BESS can connect directly to the existing PV AC collection system without an additional voltage-matching transformer.

This approach brings clear project advantages:
β€’ Fewer electrical components
β€’ Lower equipment and installation costs
β€’ Reduced conversion losses
β€’ Simplified system integration
β€’ Flexible distributed deployment across a large solar farm

For utility-scale PV projects already using 800V inverters, native 800V battery storage provides a practical way to improve both system efficiency and overall project cost-effectiveness.
