The International Trade Forum 2025, hosted by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) in Basel, brought together decision-makers and industry leaders from around Switzerland to explore a key question:
How can Switzerland reinforce its global trade leadership in the face of evolving geopolitical and technological challenges?

This year’s edition focused on Switzerland’s strategic role amidst rising U.S.–China tensions, the impact of emerging technologies, and the growing importance of sustainable and resilient supply chains. The forum reaffirmed Switzerland’s position as a trusted, neutral, and innovative partner in the global economy.

🏆 One of the key highlights was the Export Award 2025, awarded to ANYbotics, a pioneering Swiss robotics company developing autonomous inspection solutions for demanding industrial environments. Their work is a powerful example of the innovation driving Switzerland’s global export success.

C***I was proud to be present and contribute to this important dialogue. Our Sustainability, Outreach, and External Relations Officer, Sophia Aissa represented C***I during this event and had the pleasure of meeting with our partners from S-GE and the Arab region, reinforcing our commitment to deeper cooperation between Switzerland and the Arab world.

🌍 Exciting News from UNCTAD's Workshop at AIM Congress in Abu Dhabi! 🌟

We are proud to announce that Ms. Hilda Al Hinai, Secretary General of the Arab-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry (C***I), attended the landmark workshop titled "Regional Partnership for the Promotion of Sustainability Reporting in the Gulf States and Neighbouring Countries: A Milestone Workshop" on May 9th, 2024, at the prestigious Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in the UAE.

This pivotal workshop, designed to foster collaboration and fortify commitment towards sustainable practices across the region, featured a meticulously crafted agenda aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability reporting.

The workshop included three insightful sessions:
- Overview of Sustainability Reporting in the Gulf and Neighboring Regions:
Esteemed experts shared key insights, emerging trends, and prevalent challenges.

- Practical Implementation Strategies and Assurance Standards:
Interactive dialogues and case studies offered invaluable insights into integrating sustainability reporting within organizational frameworks.

- Dedicated Working Meeting for Regional Partnership Members:
A dynamic forum for collaboration and knowledge exchange, focusing on best practices and advancing sustainability reporting standards.

Participants also benefited from specialized training on the practical application of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) - IFRS S1 and S2, equipping them with the tools needed to navigate the evolving landscape of sustainability reporting.

The workshop's alignment with AIM Congress 2024 under the theme "Adapting to the Shifting Investment Landscape: Harnessing New Potential for Global Economic Development" provided a synergistic platform for exploring the nexus between sustainability reporting and economic prosperity.

This convergence of events enabled participants to access a curated selection of AIM Congress sessions, fostering an enriching discourse on sustainable development and investment practices.
