*Full disclosure*... this was a reno rescue. I hadn't gotten back to the client quick enough (2 weeks later) and somebody else, who claimed they tile custom showers, jumped right in... 🤯
Folks, if you plan to use Schluter-Systems products (which I DO highly recommend) make sure the installer knows what they're doing... I have worked with Schluter products for over 5 years and I have attended many two-day workshops as well as online seminars.
As soon as I saw what was being done here, I advised the homeowner to have this guy cease and desist. And unfortunately most of it had to be tore out and done right, which cost the customer much more in material and labour...

THEY LOVED IT SO MUCH, THEY WANTED ANOTHER! 🥰
It was a joy to be called to repeat a custom tiled shower for wonderful customers in Nackawick, NB. On the right, you see the first shower completed 2 years ago, with Schluter-Systems Kerdi board and niche with stainless steel shelves, as well as various profiles for a lasting finish. The newest shower on the left got a bigger niche and more stainless shelves and the same great Schluter profiles to provide a lifetime of durability for a young family. Stay tuned for a reel of the process from begining to end.
