Glued this together months ago and found it while cleaning the shop this weekend. That yellow really pops!

I received an order of 1.75” Black Walnut awhile back from I finally got around to opening it and having a look at the boards. I noticed one didn’t sit right, it had a bit of a warp to it. As I looked closer I noticed the grain, figure and design in the wood and was surprised! I had been wanting to make some cigar ashtrays for awhile and this piece was perfect for this! This piece was never meant to be in a cutting board!
