Brian Saulnier is a Mi'kmag, from Natoaganeg First Nation in New Brunswick. He now reside In Winnipeg and advocates for indigenous communities in housing and research and development. Indigenous Development Support Services (IDSS) is an Indigenous Non-Profit Corporation that works with First Nation, Metis, Inuit communities, and individuals supporting their development goals. IDSS objectives is to
teach, advise on technical services, to provide support that promote their success, best practices, and partnerships. IDSS primary area of interest is in training, services within the forestry, and housing sectors. IDSS community-based programs work on many levels to create synergy for community-led education that is prepared to tackle development issues in the community and make positive change as part of the course learning and delivery. In this case the positive change is building capacity in housing.
