Stacking floors once a week kept this project moving at a quick, efficient pace - and the result speaks for itself. Stainless steel appliances. Quality finishes. Generous balconies. A seven-storey building on Main Street in Winnipeg's north end that families will be proud to live in.

At Endayaan Omaa, safety isn't managed from the sidelines.

Andrea is the Safety Coordinator on site at Endayaan Omaa, making sure that everyone at one of Winnipeg's most significant housing projects goes home healthy. New workers and 25-year veterans - everyone looking out for each other.

335 Main Street is one of Winnipeg's most iconic addresses - and the work happening inside right now is transformative.

Completed in 1913 for the Bank of Montreal, this building is being restored to evolve into the Red River Métis National Heritage Centre. Every wall is original masonry. Every detail has a history. And every decision on site has to honour what this building has meant to Winnipeg for over a century while making it ready for the future.

There's a moment on every project when you step back and take it all in.

Bockstael had the privilege of building the new studios at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet - and getting to see them come to life is something else entirely. Spaces designed for precision, artistry, and the next generation of dancers.

Meanwhile on Hole 8: the creek ate a lot of balls, we slung a heap of snacks, and the golfers were not put off by a bit of rain out of the gates! 🌧️⛳️

To help golfers tackle this technical par 3, we brought in a pair of local, women-owned businesses for some salty snacks and liquid courage.

Good Neighbour Brewing joined us to sling some crispy brews while we served up pretzels from Lady Di’s Snackers.

For Theresa, Project Manager at Bockstael, Endayaan Omaa is personal. Her journey started with the support of her band, Sagkeeng First Nation - one of the seven First Nations that make up Treaty One.

Now she's helping build the first housing project on Canada's largest urban reserve. 260 homes. A community coming to life. And a project that represents something bigger than construction - opportunity, community, and coming full circle.

This is what it means to build a better province.

Welcome back to 335 Main Street.

The former Bank of Montreal at the corner of Portage and Main - one of Winnipeg's most iconic buildings - is being fully transformed. Mechanical and electrical upgrades. Surface restoration. New walls, new rooms, and energy efficiency upgrades built for the next century.

One standout feature: a reverse curtain wall system allowing the glass to be accessed from inside - keeping the building as energy efficient as the original design allows.

And behind it all - the original grand vault. Safety deposit boxes still in place from when the Bank of Montreal called this home. A piece of Winnipeg history, preserved.

This is what it means to restore a building with intention.

We're on the third floor of Endayaan Omaa, prepping for fourth floor hollow core installation next week. Each section of the building is seeing hollow core go in every week - with a full completed floor every month.

The pace of progress on this project is something to see.
