Filled with gratitude today to have a project as big and as interesting as this one. In animal news during this job I was startled by a toad, a duck (he was in a hosta!) and a bunny rabbit. The turkey I saw coming. 😎 job-wise there are Plenty of spots for dirt to hide, dozens of architectural nooks and crannies. Softwash isn’t something I’d recommend every year but here the birds are dive-bombing the siding and damaging the paint.

Today I climbed up to clean an architectural
roof detail that serves no purpose, creates
leak points for the home, and can only be seen from the woods behind the house. Was it for bird nests and wasps?

I cleaned them both. Always.

Not because anyone would notice.
Because I don’t leave things half done. 🪟

But I still have questions for the architect.
Serious ones. Call me 🤳😭

A client asked me why I charged more for one of their windows than the rest of the house.

It looked like one window. It was actually so wide it counted as two panes — each section so wide I had to move my feet to reach the other side.

And because it was in full sun, the water was evaporating off the glass faster than I could squeegee it. I had to work each half separately, race the sun, and make sure the edge where the two halves met didn’t dry before I could pull through it.

That’s the part people don’t see. Window cleaning pricing isn’t just about how many windows you have — it’s about what each one actually takes to do right.

I've been told I'm expensive. I've been told I'm cheap.

Both in the same week, SAME NEIGHBOURHOOD.

Here's why —

Window cleaners make their own prices, not everyone is insured and we don’t all provide the same level of service and quality. Every quote I give is built on a standard process and based on my level of service.

I ask the same questions every time. Same pricing structure.

But no two homes are the same.

Tinted glass. Tracks caked in bug guts. Three skylights nobody mentioned. Screens that haven't been touched in 15 years. Basement walkout makes upper windows 3 stories in the air.

These things matter. A lot.

So when someone asks me for a ballpark price over text, I can't give them one that actually means anything.

You can call me cheap, you can call me expensive.

I call me good value.

I need to see the job, photos or in person.
