Got artillery fungus on your windows?! 🪖🍄 Those brown specks aren’t dirt. It grows in the mulch below and fires sticky spores that set like glue on the glass. A water-fed pole rinse won’t budge it. Only 0000 steel wool or a razor, and the time to do it right.

You don’t want to know what was packed inside this downspout. 🫣 Solid roots and mud, snaked right out. Satisfying and a little shocking. It’s fall, time is running out to get your eavestroughs and downspouts cleared before winter.

It’s October, and the season is slipping away faster than people expect. Once the cold sets in, exterior window cleaning gets a lot harder to do well, so this is the window (pun intended) to get it booked.

Ever wondered what goes into properly cleaning an exterior light fixture? Here’s the whole process. ✨

This was one of six fixtures at the entrance gates of a client’s home, and one of seventeen I cleaned that day alongside the windows.

I take the fixture apart, remove the bulbs, and cover the sockets so no water or debris gets in. Then I wash it inside and out with a sponge brush and microfibre, using glass cleaner and a little Dawn. A thorough rinse with my pure water tank and a wide fan nozzle, then I clean the bulbs themselves, which are always the dirtiest part thanks to insect droppings, and reassemble.

One thing worth mentioning: the client didn’t want these fully detailed, so I keep what I do within what she asked for and her budget. There’s no sense going overboard, running late, or charging more for a level of clean she didn’t request. Doing it right also means doing it to the scope the client actually wants.
