The residents in this home were complaining about noises coming from the hood vent above their oven. A quick look outside revealed the source of the problem. Always be sure to check that your exterior vent covers are in good condition to avoid unwelcomed guest moving in.

In this case, a couple of birds moved in! We ensured the removal of the unwanted roomies and temporarily sealed the vent cover with some copper mesh to prevent rentry. Next step will be to replace the cover with a new one.

Have a recurring mouse problem? Check your foundation for open airways and holes that mice may be using to gain entry into your home.

Adolescent mice can fit through a gap as small as a quarter inch! So it is important to ensure all holes are sealed and all doorways have proper sweeps installed.

As usual, the best defense against invasive pests are limiting their entry in the first place.
