This was about a month before I got my building permit on my last house…
I don’t recommend doing this…..

I had 3 months to demo and rebuild, after waiting a month I said screw it and went ahead with my build. I just delayed the IG stories so no one would rat me out.
My schedule and the towns schedule are very different

Building a little saddle on dead area of the roof to make sure water flows off.
Architects can only always see these places or how they’re gonna exactly line up once it’s built so you just have to make it work

It’s a good reminder to look real close at those ledgers on the plan for beam sizes

We got this roof standing and all the backing on just as the snow storm rolled in on us
Now there’s a couple hours of scraping ice off of everything before we can frame and sheet everything in.
Sure beats sitting at home though!

We live/work in Canada Summer is hot, winter is cold 🤷‍♂️Such is life
