❄️ ❗ Extreme Snowfall Expected — Please Be Prepared ❗ ❄️
Sunday, January 25th
With heavy snowfall expected, we want to help everyone stay safe, warm, and avoid preventable furnace shutdowns.
Here are a few important things every homeowner should do:
✅ Check your furnace intake & exhaust vents outside
Make sure they are not buried in snow or ice. Blocked vents can cause your furnace to shut down or even create dangerous conditions like carbon monoxide buildup.
✅ Have backup heat available
Portable heaters (used safely) can be very helpful if your system temporarily shuts down due to weather or vent blockage.
✅ Change your furnace filter
During extreme cold, your furnace runs much more often. A dirty filter restricts airflow and can cause your system to overheat or shut down.
✅ Replace thermostat batteries
Cold weather drains batteries faster and dead batteries can make it seem like your furnace isn’t working. Change your batteries to prevent a service call!
⚠️ Please be patient with HVAC technicians. During major storms, service calls spike dramatically. Our team works as fast and safely as possible to help everyone.
🛠️ Planning ahead can prevent a lot of emergencies.
