The heat is no joke, and every company with staff working outdoors or in warm conditions should be paying close attention.

At Viking Building Maintenance, we’re making sure our team stays safe by encouraging regular water breaks, rest in the shade, and checking in with each other throughout the day.

Overheating can sneak up quickly. Here are some early warning signs to watch for:

-Headache
-Dizziness or lightheadedness
-Nausea
-Excessive sweating (or suddenly not sweating)
-Muscle cramps
-Fatigue or confusion

If someone is showing signs of heat exhaustion, they need to cool down right away with hydration, shade, and rest, which can prevent a medical emergency.

To all employers: This is the time to be proactive. Heat safety isn’t just a summer tip; it’s a responsibility.

Almost There on This Front Entrance on the Mainland

We’re in the final stretch on this front entrance project. Asphalt’s going down, and the rest is lining up behind it. It might not look finished yet, but every layer gets us closer.

Big shoutout to the team for staying consistent and keeping things on track. Bringing these final pieces together, and we’re almost at the finish line.

Sunday Morning Completion | Epoxy Flooring in Duncan

We completed this epoxy flooring project in Duncan on Sunday morning, covering a space roughly equivalent to an 8-car garage.

We always arrive with a clear plan, but excellence sometimes calls for flexibility. In this case, extra prep work was required to ensure a flawless, lasting finish.

That meant longer hours in the day, but never a compromise on standards or deadlines.

We’re proud of the final result and how it adds both durability and polish to an already beautiful building.

This driveway was showing its age. Cracking, wear, and water getting in.

We repaired the surface and applied a waterproof membrane to slow deterioration and buy back time. It’s not new, but it’s protected.
If your driveway is breaking down, there’s still a window to preserve it.

We’re booking for the end of summer.

Hot weather, hotter torches.

We’ve been working on membrane installation at the front entrance of a multi-unit building, ensuring it's sealed up tight before the next rainfall.

With the warmer weather, conditions were perfect to get it done right. Clean surface, solid bond, no water getting through.
