We won't stand for it any more! Passengers and Pedestrians safely take photos and videos of distracted drivers, out them here and maybe help save lives! Distracted driving is an epidemic on our roads, and is now responsible for killing more people than driving drunk each year. Stronger penalties are starting to reflect the seriousness of the issue, but the problem is far too big. One way to help p
eople think twice is to change the social landscape so that it's unacceptable to drive while distracted. If we see someone allowing distraction to take their attention away from controlling their vehicle we should not be afraid to call attention to it. These people are, after all putting all of our lives at great risk and should be called out for it. Never put yourself or others at risk in order to point out a distracted driver. If it's safe for you to do so honk your horn to let them know they've been seen. If you're a passenger or pedestrian, safely take a photo or video of the person engaging in the very dangerous activity of distracted driving. That video may be useful to police, and if uploaded here can help people to see both that they're being watched and that the public is not willing to allow the behavior to go on unchecked. Please everyone be safe above all, don't take photos if you're driving you become just what you're trying to combat. Don't get into fights or arguments over the issue, you can be angry and safe at the same time. We cannot accept this happening on our roads anymore and need to all work together to raise awareness!
