Ways to prevent foundation repairs is to limit possible problems in the first place.

1. Improve grading - The slope of a property may direct water toward the base of the house rather than away.

2. Keep trees away - Tree roots and other plant materials try to grow toward water, which can destabilize a structure and pe*****te foundations.

3. Don’t ignore cracks - Movement, temperature changes, and time may cause foundation cracks to develop. But large diagonal ones require attention right away, to avoid bigger issues.
