Lighting water isn't just about sticking a bulb near a pool; it’s an exercise in physics and theater. When you break down the "specialized understanding" required for these environments, it usually settles into three key pillars:

1. The Physics of Reflection and Refraction: If you place a light at the wrong angle, you don’t get a glow, you get a glare that blinds the viewer.

The Mirror Effect: At night, still water acts as a black mirror. To illuminate it, our team focuses on lighting the surroundings (trees, architecture) so they reflect perfectly on the surface.

Total Internal Reflection: For fountains or waterfalls, we use light to "hitch a ride" inside the water stream. By angling fixtures correctly, the light stays trapped within the moving water, making the liquid itself look like it's glowing from the inside.
