On a recent podcast, Billie shared how The Festival Company came to life.
She began in talent buying, working between festivals and agencies under a traditional model. Along the way, she recognized opportunities to serve clients better and approach events differently.
That realization led her to build a boutique company rooted in a hospitality first philosophy. Not only booking talent, but advancing shows, managing logistics, and running back of house so producers could focus on delivering an exceptional experience.
Within six months, she secured her first major client in Newfoundland. Soon after, an opportunity to build a new festival emerged. That project became Mudfest. When the original investor stepped away, Billie chose to continue building it.
Thirteen years later, Mudfest has grown into the largest motorsports and music festival in the country, expanded to a second location in Dawson Creek, and most recently brought the team to Abu Dhabi after being invited to perform at the Liwa Festival.
The Festival Company was born from a simple principle: when people ask if you can do it, you lean in, figure it out, and deliver with excellence.
We may operate in entertainment, but we are in the hospitality and service business at our core. Our mission is your success. The reward is the celebration.
