Behind every finished building is a crew that showed up, figured it out and kept each other laughing along the way. Here’s a quick moment from one of our commercial sites while the team was handing off wire for the next pull. Proud of these guys every single day. ⚑

Good lighting is easy to overlook until it’s missing. This corridor got continuous linear LED runs down the full length, so the light is clean and even from end to end without dark spots. Our commercial crew takes real pride in work like this. It’s the kind of detail people walk under every day and never think about, and that’s exactly the point. πŸ’‘

Neck up, hands up, eyes up.

Most of a rough-in happens above your head. Hours of it, arms overhead, working by feel as much as by sight. You feel it in your shoulders by Thursday and you do it again on Friday.

Companies get described by the work they finish. They're actually just the people who showed up to do it β€” and we've got a good crew.

Every one of those colours means something.

Conductor identification is one of those details that looks like housekeeping and isn't. It's how a panel gets troubleshot at 2am, how the next contractor knows what's live before they cut, and how an inspection goes smoothly instead of sideways.

It costs nothing to do properly at rough-in. It costs a lot to sort out later.

Two of our crew talking through a run β€” the kind of conversation that happens a hundred times a week and never makes it into the photos.

The most contested real estate on any job site is the space above the ceiling.

Duct, sprinkler main, structural steel and our cable all have to fit through the same few inches β€” and everyone's working to the same deadline. Get the routing agreed early and it goes up clean. Leave it to chance and somebody's rerouting on a Friday afternoon.

This is overhead rough-in on a commercial fit-out: cable run, bundled and supported before a single ceiling tile goes in.

Ask anyone what they want from a trade and "shows up on time" is usually the first answer.

It sounds like a low bar. It isn't β€” and it's the part we take most seriously. A licensed electrician, in a marked Kato hoodie, arriving in the window we gave you, with the tools and parts to finish the job the same day wherever we can.

Panel upgrades, EV charger installs, service calls, troubleshooting and full rewires β€” residential work across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Nobody ever sees this part β€” and that's the whole idea.

This is rough-in: walls still open, ceiling still exposed, every circuit getting routed and pulled before the drywall goes on. It's the stage where a job is either set up to go smoothly or set up to cause headaches for the next two years.

Takes two sets of hands on a pull like this one. Takes a lot more than that to get the layout right in the first place.

Some rooms you just can't reach from a ladder.

Two of our crew up at full extension this week, setting devices on the high wall before the space gets turned over. Rooms like this one are all reach and access β€” the lift has to get in before the finishes go down, the layout has to be right the first time, and nobody wants to be back up there after the floor's in.

It's the kind of work that disappears the moment the space opens. Which is exactly the point.
