This was a unique job that we had a blast designing and building. We were commissioned to build a 1 of a kind cattery (interior) and catio (exterior), and we hit it out of the park. I'd say it's more of a catdominium. From start to finish, Blest Built listened carefully to the desires of our customer, and delivered a product above and beyond their expectations. From sourcing all the right materials, to an absolute bargain of a brand new window, to the vinyl flooring "basin" wrapped up the walls, to the overlapping FRP panelling for a durable waterproof area, to all the custom doors, ramps, and passage ways, we truly blessed her with the best! The customer and cats will get much enjoyment out of this area, for years and years to come.

Another happy customer in the books! This 120+ year old house sat vacant for 15 years before getting some much needed TLC. The customer arrived to find the bottom of the porch post completely rotted out and dangling. The corner had sagged 2"+ to the point where the roof was tearing away from the wall and leaking (pouring), not to mention how dangerous it was. Blest Built sliced and diced and made it look nice. We replaced the critical portions that were rotted, added extra beam support, formed and poured in a concrete pier and saddle, jacked up the roof to match the level of the house, installed a fresh 8"x8" DF post, then closed it all up, with precision. The customer didn't want to clad the post right away. Other priorities are calling. Roof and gutter remediation next. Be Blest! Matthew Hetherington

This is a project that Blest Built took from framing to completion, under the home owner project manager. We picked up where the previous contractor left off, and completed everything (inside and out) except mechanical, paint, tile, stucco, deck and vinyl, and the cherry cabinetry. We designed many aspects, and collaborated with the customer for others.

Some of the aspects that we took care of:
-Framing
-Mechanical layout for the appliances
-Insulation and v***r barrier
-Drywall hang and finish
-Door installation + stain match to cherry
-Window removal and replacement
-Sils and trim design and installation
-Carried on the ceiling T&G where the previous workers gave up
-Closet and pantry organizers
-Bulk-heads
-Basement bathroom demo and expansion (to be continued)
-Observatory restoration
-Soffit under new deck
-Matching post cladding
-Garage organizer alteration
-Garage stairs and landing
-Matching hot-tub riser steps
-Pre-fab metal carport and skirt
-And much more

A bit of Blest Built mantle action. We sourced and delivered somewhat of a "unicorn" for this mantel. How often do you find a seasoned, and straight 8x8 in Douglas Fir? It's unheard of, until now.

We scribed and rabbeted/mortised this piece to hide all the funkyness of the ledge for a tight and clean fit. We also used a trade secret to solidify it with no visible fasteners of any sort. The off-cut was on the way to the burn pile when Blest Built suggested it become a lamp stand. It turned out great and produced another happy (return) customer. Be Blest!

A unique countertop Blest Built made for a good friend with a full live edge perimeter. We sure love having access to shops from time to time. It's a dream to acquiring a shop again in the future.

This is a bunny hutch, believe it or not! We love unique jobs like this. The customer came to me with a general vision of something whimsical. This is what we came up with. Every component and process was well thought out, from start to finish, and custom made. We really went the extra mile with this one! This was built with yellow cedar, red cedar, pressure treated lumber for the base, spruce for the walls, and water proof plywood where needed.
