🌟 LABOURERS NEEDED 🌟:
Starting March 13, casual seasonal position. Wage is pending on experience. It is a difficult job, heavy lifting and lots of walking. Will need a way to get here.
-can consider someone very casual who wants to work for a greenhouse credit

She’s teeny tiny. But she’s BEAUTIFUL!! Little miss arrived early weighing in at 3 lbs 6 oz in Prince George. So thankful for the awesome staff who are giving both mom and baby such amazing care. But above all, I’m thankful for our Creator who knit this baby together so perfectly. The doctors were concerned about her, but she is so strong. I can’t wait to meet her. But in the meantime pray for me😂 as I have the other three in my care until mom and baby get to come home.

TODAY IS THE DAY!! I will be doing a draw for the winner of our contest. I’m watching the grandbabies for a few hours this afternoon so it will probably be after dinner by the time I get to it. Speaking of dinner, I was doing errands with the hubby yesterday and we weren’t done until 6:30. And who feels like cooking dinner at that time so we treated ourselves to Don’s Diner. If you don’t now about it, it’s in the airport. They open until 8 most weekdays. And it’s quiet and service is great!!

I will be back on here to announce our winner either tonight or tomorrow morning. Super excited!!

I am what you would call a canning rebel. I don’t follow all the rules. But what really are the rules? European canning guidelines are different than ours. Some countrys don’t even pressure can! But I can safely and that’s what matters.

My pressure canner is always within reach of my kitchen. There’s always something that I can think of that is worth preserving. This here is turkey stock. Turkey carcass from our delicious turkey dinner spent 30 hours slowly roasting in my electric roaster oven with celery, carrots, onions and bay leaves. I strained it using a fine sieve and left it outside overnight to harden off the fat. Fat is good in moderation. I don’t add anything else, not even salt, and I pressure can it. Because there is no meat in it, it only needs to be canned in quarts for a half hour. This is the goodness that makes you feel so much better when under the weather. I use it to cook rice or noodles in, make soup and casseroles. I add leftovers to my dogs food. It’s definitely a staple in my pantry.

So here it is. The post you have all been waiting for!!
On my last post, I added a picture of a box. In that box, were the seeds I ordered for next year. Mostly vegetables, but also a few different varieties of flowers. (Yes I just reminded the hubby that he still has to build me another seed shelf!!). I counted them this morning and there’s 38,500 altogether.
The next few weeks are going to be a combination of a few relaxing days but also full days. We are anticipating the arrival of our 4th grandchild. The timing is unknown to us (but God knows) as there’s been some complications. I hope to take my daughter and my grandkids to PG for a doc appointment, but also be there for her when she delivers in PG.

Nicest looking dozen and a half of eggs I’ve seen in a long time! We must raise a barnyard mix, hatching out new chicks every spring. Last year we only had 3 different colors so it’s pretty exciting to have 5 now. If you’re looking for farm fresh, we do sometimes have extras.
