🚨 CALLING ALL LOCAL BUSINESSES 🚨
Burrows Construction is proud to launch our Build for Hope Project — a community fundraiser dedicated to helping a long-time local resident, Katherine Grimes, regain her mobility and independence after an unimaginable medical battle.
We are currently looking for local businesses willing to donate products, services, gift cards, baskets, experiences, or other items for an online raffle fundraiser. Every donation, big or small, will help make a real difference for a local family facing overwhelming challenges.
What began as what appeared to be multiple unexpected seizures and emergency ambulance rides turned into something far more serious. Katherine was repeatedly losing consciousness due to a severe lack of blood in her body. A small blister caused by a new pair of work shoes led to a devastating bloodstream infection that progressed into gangrene.
Since then, Katherine has endured:
• Multiple blood transfusions
• Two major surgeries
• The loss of her leg below the knee, followed by a second surgery resulting in an above-the-knee amputation after complications prevented healing
Katherine is now unable to work, and her husband, Scott Grimes, has come out of retirement to support their family during this incredibly difficult time.
Our goal is to help raise funds toward the costs associated with mobility support and the purchase of a prosthetic leg so Katherine can begin rebuilding her life.
If your business would like to support this cause through a raffle donation, please send us a message directly or contact us at [email protected] or (613)921-8399.
Let’s show what our community can do when we come together for one of our own. ❤️
