With growing concerns and restrictions due to COVID-19, we have instituted a firm-wide mandate to protect the health, safety and well-being of our employees. We want you to know you have our full commitment to our projects and to you, our clients, consultants and friends during this time. We want to assure you that we are taking all appropriate measures to ensure our offices are safe and that we have created plans and protocols for our staff.

The majority of the Q4A Team has been working from home since Monday. For now, site visits will continue as scheduled . We are instituting safe distancing guidelines to protect our staff and ask that you help us by respecting our protocols.

Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara have been named the 2020 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureates! Co-founders of Grafton Architects, Farrell and McNamara are the fourth and fifth women to be named winners of the award and are the first recipients from Ireland.

Q4A Facebook Takeover Dan Abramsky: Tree Hotel in Sweden: Mirrorcube. This astounding design is literally and figuratively outside-the-box creative thinking. Ironically, the finest views from this dwelling are from outside, looking at it. It actually creates it’s own vistas!
The brilliant play of light on the multi-mirrored surfaces is nothing short of fantastic. It almost begs to have a sister home nearby from which it can be admired.

Rubber's qualities as an architectural material and how it has been used for unconventional facades.

Q4A Team Facebook Takeover - Dan Abramsky: “My way or the Highway” – now you don’t have to choose, if this radical design proposal by Ja Studio Inc., ever gets the green light. What to do with obsolete structures at the end of their lifecycle? This amazing proposal takes a decommissioned freeway overpass (a stretch of the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway near Sicily) and transforms it into a vertical residential neighbourhood. Million dollar views and scenery abound. It’s so original, so out-of-this-world, and with such a ‘wow’ factor. It excites the senses even if it may never get built. Definitely not your down-to-earth type of solution!
