AWW’s programs will focus on training for the construction trades, and will teach women how to use tools, preform installations, and get them ready for apprenticeship, freelance and job positions with notable industry players. We'll provide mentorship programs, working with professionals in the trades, creating more opportunities for jobs for women who are new to the country, looking to start a s

econd career, or recent graduates of high school and college. We hope to help women rise above these gender bias narratives and foster opportunities for growth through AWW.

From August 24 – September 4, A Women's Work is opening our active machine training site at 50 Norfinch Drive to employers looking for their next great hire.

Our Operator participants are completing 12 weeks of intensive heavy equipment training — and now they're ready to show you exactly what they can do:

✅ Forklift (Class V Counterbalance) & Telehandler (Class VII)
✅ Mini Excavator, Backhoe & Wheel Loader
✅ WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, Working at Heights, PPE

Our Tools & Equipment Series collaboration with brought together students from grades 9–11 for a hands on experience at our AWW Finch Campus!

Together students built two benches that they’ll now use back in their classroom! ⚙️

WillowWood supports students with diverse learning needs and helps them build skills to navigate different challenges both in and out of the classroom. This program was all about building confidence and learning trades skills, AWWORG is very happy that we got to be part of their journey and create a space where they could learn, build, and succeed.
