This lovely family bought a new home steps from the subway in and repointed all of the beautiful brick work. As a result, they wanted a porch that would show it off, and give them more clear space in the front.

New bin enclosure for a lovely and discerning couple in

This was made to be both a built in, and to go around the gas meter, which requires easy access.

As it’s the first thing they see when getting home, they wanted it to be super beautiful!

All Western Red Cedar Lumber🌲 construction using 1x2 clear vertical cladding, 3 operable doors on top, two doors in front.

When I got this request back in the spring, I realized our kids had gone to Oaks & Acorns together a dozen years ago! How the time flies.

This lovely family of four in had a tiny shed and a Rubbermaid bin, and wanted to get the bikes out of the house!

So, we built my favourite style of shed - full width at the back of the yard, with long walls to allow for lots of storage. Their dad will be building out shelving soon.

20x7 shed with black v-style Canexel by Maibec, two VELUX Canada Skylights skylights and double, full glass steel doors.

In front we have Permacon vertex pavers, chosen by our tastemaker client Aisha Nathanson • Home Stylist - the lines are amazing.

This garage in had seen better days. We talked over different options, and ended up demolishing it, and putting up a pressure treated fence and gate at 6’ high. Still room for two cars to park, but more useable space and much safer!

Several projects for a lovely couple in

New back landing in latte, with western red cedar skirting. Under the deck is a storage space and matched interlock. Above the deck is a cedar planter, with custom steel railing to come.

Then, a new friendly neighbour style fence on postmaster steel posts, and finally a new set of front stairs in chai with a cedar railing.

This is the third direct neighbour we’ve worked for on Fern, and at least our eighth project on the street!

New 14x22 garage in the

Finished outside in bellara siding, with a black roll up door, steel and glass entry door, and windows galore!

Inside there’s one fire-resistant wall of type x drywall, and everything else covered in stunning Baltic birch plywood, along with an oak ladder, mounted to a French cleat to access the storage loft.

To cap it all off (floor it all off?) the floor is covered in a polyaspartic coating.

A new 22x19’ deck in

I first visited this deck more than two years ago. They had a massive failing tree that needed to be removed. Two years later, the tree was gone, and they brought us back to rebuild the crumbling deck.

Pressure treated deck boards and stair treads with 6’ .cedar privacy screen, and handrail.

Another family with just the best dogs ever! Every time I knocked on the door, they were there, ready to play.
