Swipe to see this stunning waterfront transformation by the Primrose Gardening & Design team! ➡️
For this property, the goal was to transform an open, unfinished space into a lush, layered landscape that perfectly frames the breathtaking lake views.
I designed the garden using a timeless palette of whites, greens, and soft purples, with layers of texture created through deep green and variegated hostas, ornamental grasses, astilbe, salvia, and elegant white hydrangeas. Every plant was thoughtfully selected to thrive in the site’s unique light conditions while creating beauty through every season.
A huge thank you to the Primrose crew, who brought the vision to life with incredible care and craftsmanship. Teamwork truly makes the dream work! 💚

Everyone loves before and after photos, but there’s so much more happening behind the scenes.
A beautiful garden isn’t created by simply putting plants in the ground. It starts with planning, designing, collaborating with clients, sourcing premium materials, placing orders, and coordinating every detail before installation day even arrives.
Then comes managing tight deadlines when someone calls in sick or a delivery is delayed. Working alongside electricians, plumbers, painters, arborists, carpenters, and other trades on the same property at once. Adapting when a client changes the design halfway through the project while still keeping everything on schedule.
It’s spending hours selecting the healthiest plants, choosing premium soil, coordinating deliveries, solving problems as they arise, and making hundreds of small decisions that determine whether a garden simply looks beautiful today or thrives for years to come.
And when the workday ends for most people, the trucks still need cleaning, tools need sharpening, equipment needs maintenance, waste needs dumping, supplies need restocking, and tomorrow’s project needs preparing.
The gardens you see on this page are the result of decades of experience, education, planning, problem solving, project management, and a lot of hard work. The finished garden is the part most people see but everything leading up to it is what truly makes it successful….and of course a great team!🌿

Everyone loves before and after photos, but there’s so much more happening behind the scenes.
A beautiful garden isn’t created by simply putting plants in the ground. It starts with planning, designing, collaborating with clients, sourcing premium materials, placing orders, and coordinating every detail before installation day even arrives.

We brought that vision to life with graceful ornamental grasses, a beautiful red Japanese maple, and timeless favourites like purple salvia, white speedwell, hydrangeas, and layers of blue and variegated hostas to create year round texture and interest.
While the transformation is dramatic today, the real magic happens over the next few years as the plants mature, soften, and grow together into a lush, established landscape.
Every garden we design is created not just for today, but for what it will become.🌱
