What is black medic?

It’s an annual w**d that germinates in the spring and dies in the cold winter weather.

Why do I have black medic in my lawn?

You’re mowing your lawn too short. This is preventing your grass from growing stronger than your w**ds

Will iron kill black medic?

No

Please raise your mower decks.

You know what they say about 90% of an iceberg is under water. The same could be said about these w**ds.

Experiment…. I left a pile of leaves on my lawn all winter to show everyone what happens to the grass underneath when it cannot access water, air and sunlight. Your lawn is alive and breathing….. don’t suffocate it.
If you want to save the bees and other insects take the leaves onto your flower beds instead. Get them off your lawn!
