A fence is only as strong as the structure behind it.

One detail that makes a huge difference is the mid rail. As fence boards dry out and shrink from sun exposure, they naturally want to warp and bend over time. The mid rail helps keep the boards straight, supported, and secure.

Without it, boards can begin to bow outward, creating gaps that let sunlight through and take away from the clean, finished look of the fence.
