Another reno completed for a happy repeat customer, just in time for Christmas! Did a complete gut of the living room of a century home, including removing the massive brick and stone chimney. Removed lathe and plaster. Took out old carpet and refinished original wooden floor with Rubio Monocoat. Built new walls to level them and to add insulation. Discovered a hidden closet on the way, exciting! It got turned into a bookshelf. Leveled the ceiling. Matched new trim to older trim from other parts of the house. Replaced old unusable wood burning fireplace with a gas fireplace surrounded by beautiful blue tile. Gas fireplace installed by Elmira Stoneworks. Beautiful update to an old century home!
