We have worked all over Canada for many years, as Heavy equipment operators in the Construction / Pipeline industry.

PUBLIC NOTICE — INCREASED HEAVY TRUCK TRAFFIC

Cusick’s Contracting Inc. will begin work on a NordSpace project on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Residents can expect increased heavy truck traffic along the designated truck route on Riverside Drive, Water Street East and Lighthouse Road.

Trucking hours: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

All truck drivers will be instructed to obey posted signs and speed limits. Drivers will also be required to reduce their speed further along the first 200 metres of Lighthouse Road to help minimize dust around nearby homes.

We expect the main portion of the hauling to be completed within 5–7 days.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will work diligently to minimize disruption to residents and other road users. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

We at Cusick's Contracting Inc would like to inform the public in St. Lawrence that unfortunately Cusick's has not been selected as a successful proponent for additional funding in Phase 2 of the most recent Affordable Housing program. Cusick's worked extremely hard on our last build and were successful in completing the project on budget and on time. We are disappointed that we will not be able to offer additional housing to the aging population of St. Lawrence at this time. For our proposal we had partnered with the Town of St. Lawrence to get this project rolling and believe the council shares the disappointment that our proposal was not accepted by NLHC. As many of you know, St. Lawrence is in a housing deficit and a project such as ours would have added some much needed relief to the area. Feel free to contact your provincial government representatives for an explanation. So unfortunately to all the people who have been calling us and looking for a unit, we cannot offer any options in the near future but plan to keep on trying.

Somehow we managed to do a complete siding job for a repeat customer and add on a couple decks.. And YES we do install other colours of siding besides Huron Blue lol.

Also In the past few weeks we undertook a renovation for clients in St. Lawrence. Their roof was in bad shape and originally constructed in many different ways. They wanted a new roof installed and the entire thing on one pitch. But the kicker was, they were hoping not to any damage or work to the interior ceiling. Challenging to say the least. We did however get all the old roof system removed with no damage to the ceiling, the top walls levelled, new roof truss installed, new insulation, sheathing and shingles. We even added new little dormer style roofs over the front existing windows to give the house a different look. We tied the old siding into the new roof to the best of our ability but the client wishes to replace all the siding next season.. Thanks Claudia and Frank

September and October has been crazy busy for us here at Cusick's. Early in the Fall we undertook a project in St. John's. which consumed most of the period but still managed to fit in a major roof rebuild in St. Lawrence as well.

The project in St. John's was a nightmare which turned out amazing. The exterior brick wall had collapsed during a wind storm last winter. Sadly the insurance company would not look at the client as they determined the cause to be structural deterioration not the wind its self. We started it not exactly knowing what we would find. We found it all. lol. Major renovation and turned out amazing in the end with all the gremlins found and fixed!!! It just hit the market today. Take a look at the transformation. Sometimes we surprise ourselves. Thanks to Stephanie and Scott for letting us run with this and understanding how far we had to go to fix this right...

On the eve of the upcoming municipal elections, we just wanted to take a moment and thank the current group of counselors. Cusicks contracting has received so much support from this group through the last couple years. They have been behind us all the way with our affordable housing development, RV park, and by awarding us as the successful developers with additional land to be able to continue to provide affordable housing for the community of St. Lawrence. We look forward to continuing with the new council the new development and all other future projects. We wish the outgoing council all the best and for those of you wishing to continue on, you have Cusick’s support.
