This large city lot provides all kinds of opportunities for entertaining and relaxation. We designed large gazebo with a fireplace, and 12 ft. solid cedar table to provide the ultimate dining area. Pioneer Log Homes who are featured in the TV show "The Timber Kings" constructed the gazebo, table and also a rustic swing.There are also a couple of patios with fire bowls as well as a small entry patio off of the artist's studio. We designed a custom playhouse and shed, and provided a large play structure for children and lots of lawn for games.
This yard was designed to provide flexible spaces for small groups or large gatherings.
Landscape construction was done by Urban Landscaping.

This water feature is part of a large rural property we did a few years ago. It's become quite established.

This design artfully transitions the grade at the main floor of the house down to ground level with a variety of spaces. The dining area feels like it is at ground level, but then the space drops a few more steps to a comfortable, private sitting area. Plants and objects of art make this yard a wonderful space to explore.

The timber gazebo sets the stage for entertaining with an outdoor television and a pizza oven. A contemporary water feature backed by the "blue wall" creates an area for casual seating by the fire pit while providing some privacy from a public trail behind the yard.

This project is a 20 acre site I designed. It started by walking the site with the clients to place the house and to preserve as much nature as possible. The design also includes the driveway, parking, trails, and gardens.

This a LEED Platinum project. LEED means Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. We used permeable materials for walkways and channeled rainwater for use on site. We created raised garden beds for efficient vegetable gardens and used plant materials with low water requirements.
