Is your bathtub becoming a safety concern? Many of our clients have opted to replace a bathtub with a walk in shower. The GOOD news is that this can be completed in a fairly short timeframe and the GREAT news is that some of the cost could be covered by a grant currently being offered by BC housing! It is that time of year where we reflect and we can’t express how grateful we are to the community and our clients, what a phenomenal place to call home!
We are so grateful to have been trusted with our clients homes and the relationships that have grown into friendships along the way!
The renovation process is full of ups and downs and even the smoothest projects are an emotional rollercoaster but we always do our best to turn nervous anticipation to excitement for the possibility of what could be. Being a part of the planning and design process is where we see the magic truly starting, going through inspiration photos and being able to bring together the vision is where the excitement and trust for the project really forms, it’s almost like the adult version of dreaming up a Christmas list!
Although December is a time to wind down and look forward to such a wonderful season it is also a great time to source out materials for upcoming projects as most suppliers offer deals to help boost sales during what would otherwise be a slow month! Another bathroom complete! We removed a tub/shower combo and created a walk in shower with oversized corner seat and secondary shower valve with handshower making it fully accessible as they wanted to invest in their home making it ready to age in place safely and comfortably. The vanity (waiting for a new marble top because it came damaged) is a beautiful pop of colour that adds so much character to the space and brings a feminine touch to the new rustic cork backed vinyl plank. These clients were such a joy to see everyday, working in clients homes means that we are immersed in their personal spaces and day to day interaction and these ladies were hilarious and just made everyday so easy to come to work and we will very much value the friendship we have built!

Renovations don’t always mean you have to start fresh to achieve the look you’ve been dreaming of. Our client is very waste conscious and wanted to save what she could from ending up in the landfill, her cabinets were structurally sound and so we removed and replaced all the doors, painted the cabinets, got the microwave off the counter by creating a space in the pantry and added new hardware. The space was elevated by new quartz counters and extending the absolutely gorgeous stone up the wall as the new backsplash, the space is complete by updating the lighting and the new school house light is just perfect tying in the matte black hardware!
We love working with homeowners to achieve a space they can’t wait to get home to at the end of the day or to spend their retirement. There are grants available and tax incentives, if you are considering renovating don’t hesitate to reach out and we would be happy to discuss potential options!

Did you know that there is a grant available (upto $20,000) for those looking to age in place (no minimum age requirement) or have a disability that helps fund renovations to make homes more accessible such as changing a bathtub to a walk in shower? It’s the little details that make all the difference, this client wanted to update their mobile home and because the framing isn’t standard 2x4 and the hinge prep is different we updated the slab doors (you can see the original flesh coloured door in the before photo) with new accent panels to match the character of a Cheyenne style door and painted them the softest coastal shade of blue/green and even added wainscotting in the matching shade to give a boring space an instant facelift!

We got a call from a new client that had experienced a flood, the remediation had been completed but they needed a contractor to put their home back together. Timing was not ideal as they were out of the country, we were put in touch and we were able to source materials and have their home ready upon return! Going through an insurance claim can be frustrating let us help and return your home to its glory or it could be a good time to make those improvements you’ve been dreaming about!

A little about us…Jason and I have been married for going on 13 years, we started a business in Calgary together in 2011 and sold it when we decided to move out to the Sunshine Coast in search of a healthier lifestyle and having to balance work and life as we have two young children. Jason has been in the industry for 30+ years and has been self employed for almost the whole time, he is the most punctual and professional entrepreneur and he takes so much pride in his work! I have been in the industry for almost 18 years and I am personally invested in all of our projects, one of my favorite things is working with homeowners to find what it is that they want in a renovation, it should be a fun process and exciting! I truly look forward to working with people and helping in any way we can and no projects are ever the same. Whether it be planning the project, ordering materials, balancing function with style or making a home more accessible for those who want to age in place we are happy to answer any and all questions you may have. Jason and myself are both hands on and are the primary workers on site and oversee every detail, we have trades such as plumbers and electricians that we work with to ensure peace of mind and that the final product is everything you imagined. We specialize in kitchens and bathrooms but have worked on everything, we converted a garage to a 2 bedroom cottage suite complete with new home warranty and this year we finally created our personal retreat making a backyard oasis that I am so excited to see come to life this spring!

Our clients had purchased a new home and before they moved in they knew they wanted to make some changes to reflect their own personal style. While redoing the bathroom we uncovered a window that had been leaking for a significant period of time and so we had to do some additional work to rebuild the exterior wall and joists. Now our clients have a home they can enjoy!

Start enjoying your space! This SPA bathroom started as a poorly planned layout with an
unnecessary pocket door, no storage and was just lacking overall. Our client wanted a place to be hers to wind down and relax and to reflect her personal taste. This new bathroom has heated floors, open linen closet, heated towel bar, freestanding bathtub, lighted niche and so many other features that make this a luxurious addition to any home!
