Remember in high school when they told us we wouldn’t always have a calculator in our pocket?

Well… that didn’t age well. 😂

Good thing, because in the electrical world, the math matters.

At Browning Electric, there’s a lot more behind the work than what you see when the lights turn on. Proper calculations, planning and attention to detail are all part of getting the job done safely and correctly

A reliable air compressor is the backbone of any welder's setup.

On this Big Blue 800 Duo Airpak in Kamloops, we went through every air line, checked for obstructions, and cleaned each hose. We found a cracked inlet valve gasket and replaced it, then flushed the oil cooler and installed new factory filters. Every fitting was checked and re-threaded as needed, and the system was topped up with compressor-rated oil. We calibrated the regulator to 125 PSI, double-checking accuracy on both analog and digital gauges. After a careful leak test, the unit was ready to get back to work without a hitch.

Preventive care keeps machines moving.

Going from one guy with a cell phone to a team of 12 means a lot more customers to keep track of.

Nearly 400 calls, texts and emails come through Browning Electric every week. Add quotes, callbacks and follow-ups to that and it’s pretty easy for something to get missed.

That’s why we built our system around Jobber.

With AI working between our phones, emails and Jobber, customer conversations get logged, follow-ups get assigned and due dates get set automatically.

In eight weeks, it created over 700 follow-up tasks for us. 99% were closed.

If you’re running a service business and trying to keep everything organized as you grow, check out Jobber through the link in our bio.

Dylan's little jump scare 😆

Once utility power is restored, your Generac detects the change and automatically transfers your home back to the utility power. The generator then runs through a short cool-down period before shutting itself off.

No running outside in the middle of an outage to switch anything back. No scrambling to figure out when it’s safe to turn it off. Your system is designed to handle the transition automatically.

That’s one of the biggest benefits of having a Generac standby generator! When the power goes out, it works in the background to keep your home powered and when the grid comes back, it takes care of the transition back.

Have a Generac at your home in the Shuswap or Okanagan? Browning Electric can help with installation, maintenance and ongoing support. ⚡

Meet Lorne, one of the newer faces on the Browning Electric crew.

As an electrician, Lorne loves that no two days look the same. It's a career that keeps him thinking, adapting and turning an idea into something tangible. 💡 ✅

When he’s not working on projects throughout the Shuswap and Okanagan, his perfect day is spent outside with his wife, son and dog — camping, hunting, fishing or exploring.

😅 And something you probably wouldn’t guess? He’s terrified of moths. Harmless or not, their unpredictable flight pattern is something he does not care for.

A little more about the people behind the work at Browning Electric.

Turns out the hardest part of running a $2.5M business is saying the same sentence twice.

Here’s what didn’t make the Jobber ad 🤣
