Season’s Greetings! I hope everyone in Canada is having a wonderful Christmas Day 🥰 I’m boarding my flight back home in a few minutes. Wanted to share with you a client Christmas card I’m really proud of. I was so excited this year when CMHA Edmonton approached me this year. Supporting mental health has always been a pillar of Bek Design. I originally started it while recovering from a breakdown when I was illustrating the words I needed to hear and thought other people needed too. They’ve been a dream client and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with them in the new year. If you’re interested I’ll share more of the annual report work I did for them too. Merry Aussie Christmas 🎄🎄🎄 This trip has truly been a once in a lifetime experience and I’m so grateful to have spent it with the Laan family 🥰 When I became best friends with over 20 years ago Rach and I were lovingly adopted into her family. We’ve seen each other through such lows times through the years and it’s so special now to celebrate the highs together. So proud of .laan for graduating from the University of Melbourne! Can’t wait for all our continued adventures. I hope you are also spending the holidays with your loved ones, friends, family or furry 🥰

I’m so incredibly proud to share the advent calendar I designed for Audrey works so hard to bring her customers the very best, her chocolate is vegan and ethically sourced and she makes her chocolate directly from the pod. The calendar is still available to order at livinglotus.net (Also this is now the 4th commercial advent calendar I’ve designed, keep em coming 😄)

Today is the last day of the It’s open until 7pm tonight at Lansdowne Center in the old Toys R Us. 😄 I’m really proud of the art I made for it and really impressed by the work of others. Scroll to the last end for some of my favorites.

I’ve been wanting to teach longer classes so we can have more time for practice and also add more stitches and skills. This course combines my knit your first hat and first scarf class with added cable stitches, finishing details and support hours. I’m excited to offer an extended learn to knit course! Over four weeks you will learn the basic skills of knitting and how you can apply them to a variety of garments. You will begin a cabled* hat and scarf.
All supplies included and 10 hours of instructor support.

Hello friends 💕 I’ve been meaning to give you an update. This summer has been super busy and exciting and sometimes exhausting 😅 I’m so so grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way. I moved in with my twin and we’ve been loving creating our dream dopamine home, one allen key turn at a time. I started an intensive summer design contract with the PNE as well as an exciting branding project with along with smaller branding, book covers and packaging projects. I’m so grateful my freelance designing is so booked right now. To balance things I’ve pulled back on doing summer markets and workshops but I am booking things for fall and winter. Instead I’m focusing on my products in shops.
