To say we are heartbroken doesn’t feel like enough. What happened this week in Tumbler Ridge has changed Northern BC forever. In this small town, where everyone knew everyone, lives have been forever altered. Mothers and fathers without children, brothers and sisters without siblings and friends who will carry this grief for the rest of their lives.

There are no words for the pain this has caused. We will never forget the people lost on February 10th, 2026. May we all honour them by choosing compassion and kindness in their memory. Our hearts are with you, Tumbler Ridge.
