A radial-arm wet saw would be awesome for this job. But at $800 It is not feasable for just one job. Perhaps there will be some calls for those large profile tiles after I show this completed job!
Those big tiles do not speed things up as I expected. Perhaps if I was a little more used to them it would.

Those motors are noisy! Perhaps a little insulation might help. Yes, I got the membrane started,, bairly. Lol. Had to plumb the shower wall as it is off almost a half an inch. I find glass doesn't bend much and 1/2inch of caulk is not a good look! Lol. More to come on Friday,, stay tuned.

Tub framing is done,, shower curb is formed for concrete and shower plywood surround is nearly complete. Lost 2 days this week to a snowstorm and materials delivery.
See the 7 plumbing stubs,, measure and drill those and get it right the first time,, see how that goes, lol . I cheated,, I figure,, if measuring causes a problem then dont measure,, forget all that measure twice sillyness,, lol. I didn't measure at all.Got it first try. Pics of that for you on Monday. I bet Terry already knows what I did! Stay tuned!!

Day 2. I will admit 2 things,, #1 Schulder base had zero leaks over 15 years! #2 Schulder base takes a full day to remove! The tiles cannot be removed from the base without destroying it. Comes up in 3" x 3" peices.
Notice the "pressure equilization" pipes for the body jets?
The rest of the tiles and the tub framing will be ripped out tomorrow.

This project has 4 sections. This is the En-suite bathroom. The tub surround will be removed and a new flush skirting installed with new tiles. The floor as well as the shower. All will be 2ft x 4ft porculin tiles and fresh painted vanity. Wait till you see the tiles,, they are huge. Follow the page so you dont miss the updates! Cheers!

The toilet was moved 90 degrees and centered along with the water line relocated. The tub is now where the vanity was and the vanity will be where the tub was. Yes, the vanity will be under that large window. Who needs a mirror? Lol. Stay tuned to see what happens to that challenge. Finish installing the shower valve tomorrow and then plaster it all, then get the flooring installed on Tuesday. I know its comming along quickly but it wont be finished till next year!! Lol. My present project. This will be a complete change over. Relocate both tub and vanity to new locations. This one will have an added feature I've never seen before. Yet, It was my idea,, hope I can pull it off. Lol. Stay tuned for the progression and finish. It's going to be awesome!
