No joke!! Over the past month, I’ve completed multiple ceiling repairs, and about 80% of them were caused by the same thing…

Leaking showers!! 🚿💧

Proper waterproofing is one of the most important steps in any shower build or remodel, but unfortunately, it often gets overlooked. If your shower wasn’t installed properly, there’s a good chance the waterproofing (IF ANY) behind the tile or shower pan isn’t doing its job.

A lot of people think tile and grout are waterproof, but they’re not. Tile and grout help divert water, but water will always find its way through over time. That’s why proper waterproofing behind the finished surface is absolutely crucial.

Caulking is another big one. If it’s peeling, cracking, or separating, it’s failing and needs to be redone. A tube of quality silicone and a bit of elbow grease can save you thousands in ceiling repairs, water damage, and stress down the road.
