CANK Lawn Cutting CANK Lawn Cutting started to teach my kids work ethic, responsibility, and money management.

It has grown to provide opportunities for all kids and mainly the players I've coached in hockey, turning lessons from the rink into real-life skills and success.

My mom purchased a ticket for my daughter, but unfortunately, she can no longer attend. Rather than let the ticket go to waste, I wanted to offer it to our wonderful CANK Lawn Cutting customers and friends! ❤️

We truly appreciate all the support you’ve shown our family and our young lawn-cutting crew, and we’d love for someone to enjoy it!

If you’re interested, please send me a message. First come, first served!

❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Loyal Customers & Friends 🌱

When CANK first started, the vision was simple: create an opportunity for my own kids to learn the value of hard work, responsibility, earning their own money, and taking pride in what they do.

A year or two later, that vision naturally grew into something more. Through hockey, I had the privilege of coaching so many great kids and getting to know their families. An opportunity presented itself to extend what we had started with our own children to some of those kids as well. What began as something for our family gradually became a way to help other young people develop confidence, build a work ethic, and learn lessons that will stay with them long after the grass stops growing. 💚

What makes this journey so special is the people who have believed in that vision along the way.

To the customers who continue to book with us year after year, recommend us to friends and neighbours, share our posts, purchase leaf bags to support my son's hockey team, and find little ways to support what we're trying to build — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

To those who are patient and understanding when schedules change, when the kids have school and hockey commitments, or when life gets busy, we appreciate you more than you know. Your kindness, flexibility, and encouragement never go unnoticed.

And to those customers who may not post about us on social media but continue to quietly support what we do, we see you, and we appreciate you just as much. Not everyone needs to say something publicly for their support to mean a great deal.

One of the coolest things about this journey is seeing CANK Lawn Cutting mentioned and recommended by so many people throughout the community. Every time we see someone sharing our name or recommending us to another family, it reminds us that we're doing something right. That kind of word-of-mouth support is something we will never take for granted. 🙏

Our goal has always been to build relationships, not just complete transactions. We never want CANK to become a business where customers feel like just another number on a schedule. We want to know the families we work for, appreciate the people who support us, and continue building something personal that our community can be proud of.

At the end of the day, the lawns are what bring us together, but the people, the relationships, and the opportunities we're able to create for these kids are what make it all worthwhile.

From our family to yours, thank you for trusting us with your properties, believing in our kids, spreading our name, and being part of the CANK family.

We'll never take your support for granted, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Thank you for being more than customers. Thank you for being friends, supporters, and a part of something we truly believe in. ❤️

🍂 That’s a Wrap on Another CANK Lawn Cutting Season! 🍂

As another lawn-cutting season comes to an end, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our amazing customers for another year of support! ❤️

When CANK Lawn Cutting first started back in 2021, it was a small family idea with a simple goal: to teach our kids the value of hard work, responsibility, earning their own money, and taking pride in what they do. Over the years, it has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined, and that’s thanks to all of you.

Many of you have been with us for years, and others joined us along the way. Whether you’ve been a customer since the beginning or this was your first season with us, please know how much we appreciate your trust and support. You haven't just helped us cut grass; you've helped give local kids an opportunity to learn, grow, build confidence, and develop a strong work ethic. That means more to our family than you may ever realize. 💚

As the kids get older, schedules get busier, and life continues to change, we never lose sight of what this little business has always been about. It's about family, community, hard work, and giving young people a chance to learn valuable lessons that will stay with them long after the grass stops growing.

To every customer who welcomed our kids onto their property, encouraged them, tipped them, offered kind words, or simply continued to support us year after year — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We hope you enjoy the beautiful fall colours, the cooler weather, and a well-deserved break from lawn maintenance! 🍁

From our family to yours, thank you for being part of the CANK Lawn Cutting family. We truly couldn't have done it without you, and we're grateful for every single one of you.

Here's to another season of hard work, valuable lessons, and an amazing community!

With heartfelt thanks,
The CANK Lawn Cutting Family 💚🌱

🍂 CANK Lawn Cutting – Fall Update 🍂

As September and October roll around, things get a little busier with school, hockey, tournaments, coaching, work and family life.

CANK has always been about the kids. Most of our young mowers take on 2–3 lawns a week, which gives them a great opportunity to work, earn some money and learn responsibility. With 70–80 customers, though, there’s still a lot happening behind the scenes!

As the kids’ availability decreases, the responsibility of making sure our customers still get taken care of ultimately falls on me. Whether it’s myself, my kids, or Pat and Ollie, we’ll continue doing our best to get everyone looked after.

During the regular season, we aim for roughly a 14-day cutting schedule, with some flexibility for weather and growth. As the days get shorter and the season winds down, cuts may be a little more spread out.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we balance everything this time of year.

If you still want your lawn cut, please let us know — we’ll do our best to get you taken care of right through the fall! 🌱

❤️ Thanks for supporting CANK and, most importantly, the kids behind it!

Back behind the bench! 🏒

After coaching Aiden from U9 through U13 and spending last season away from coaching, I’m really excited to be getting back to what I love.

This time, I’ll be helping coach a U15 team that my son isn’t on, alongside a friend whose son I’ve had the privilege of coaching over the years.

Coaching has always been more than just hockey to me. It’s the relationships, watching kids grow, helping them believe in themselves, and being part of something bigger than yourself.

It’s something I’m passionate about, it’s something that feels natural to me, and honestly… it’s just who I am. ❤️🏒

Can’t wait to get started!

🏒 A SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO DECLAN 🏒

There are certain kids you meet along the way as a coach who just stand out to you. Declan has always been one of those kids.

I’ve never been his full-season coach, and I certainly won’t take credit for the player he’s becoming. I’ve simply had the opportunity to have him around through a spring team, shinny, extra ice, and things like the Fitness & Accountability Challenge. But from the beginning, I’ve always seen something special in him.

He’s always got a smile on his face. He works hard. He asks questions. He’s incredibly coachable and, more often than not, does more than what’s asked of him. If you ask for 10 push-ups, he’s probably doing 11. 😂

Over the last couple of years, things haven’t always gone his way, but he’s never stopped working or believing. That’s what makes seeing him take this next step so rewarding.

As a coach, you get to see a lot of kids come through. You recognize certain qualities, even when you aren’t the one coaching them every day. Declan has always had those qualities.

So when I heard he made the next level, I couldn’t have been happier for him. Honestly, I’m probably more excited than I should be for a kid I never even coached full-time. 😂

But some kids just leave an impression on you.

Congratulations, Declan! You earned this. Keep smiling, keep working, and keep being the great kid you are. I’m incredibly proud and excited to watch what comes next. ❤️🏒💪

I just want to take a moment to congratulate all of our CANK members who made a Rep or AA team this year! 🏒👏

U15 Rep B

• Aiden Avery
• Cole Montgomery
• Noah Breton

U16 Rep B

• Elliot Duford
• Kyler Oates

U16 AA

• Emanuel Peralta

You should all be extremely proud of yourselves! The hard work, commitment and effort you’ve put in has paid off, and it’s pretty awesome to see so many CANK members continuing to grow both on and off the ice.

There are also a few other CANK members who are expected to make the Crush team, but nothing is officially confirmed yet. We’ll celebrate those accomplishments once they’re official!

From the lawns to the ice, you guys continue to show what hard work can accomplish. 💪🏒🌱

Congratulations, everyone! CANK is proud of you! ❤️

One of the last few days of the year mowing lawns with my son. 💪🏼

Six lawns today, and with his 50% earnings, he made over $120. But honestly, the money is only a small part of what makes me proud.

I’m grateful that he’s learning the value of hard work, what it means to earn your own money, and the importance of knowing when to spend and when to save. Most importantly, he’s learning that not everything in life is simply handed to you.

There’s something special about watching your kids work for what they want and seeing the pride that comes with earning it themselves.

Proud of you, buddy. ❤️
