This photo is a glimpse of what about a thousand basement walls across Ottawa looked like after the devastating July 1 flooding.

We have several of these projects underway, and we’re truly grateful to be helping families through the stress of flooding and insurance – and most importantly, getting their homes safe and livable again.

Soon, these wonderful clients will have their homes back. We’re incredibly proud and grateful that they chose our team at Caribou Restorations to help make that happen.

Another Project Update! This 1950s three-season cottage in White Lake is well on its way to becoming a warm, comfortable four-season home - but not without a few surprises!

As we opened things up, we uncovered multiple layers of old flooring, decades-old newspapers hidden beneath, and plenty of evidence that some unwanted critters had called this place home over the years. 📰🐭

Our team has been hard at work:
✔️ Installed rodent mitigation and heavy-duty mesh to keep pests out for good.
✔️ Added new concrete supports for a solid foundation.
✔️ Sistered floor joists to strengthen the structure.
✔️ Installed R30+ spray foam insulation to keep this home cozy year-round.

Every renovation has a story, and this one is full of history—and transformation!

Awesome 4-Season Cottage Conversion Update!!

This 1950s cottage conversion has been quite the adventure so far!

We've tackled decades of additions built onto additions, evicted some very enthusiastic mice, and uncovered some beautiful bedrock along the way. The structure has been reinforced and strengthened, and we're still impressed by an original log support that's doing its job all these years later.

The permits are moving along, the client has been wonderful, and the crew is loving the challenge of turning this seasonal cottage into a comfortable four-season home AND an addition!
