This 70s cabinet (with brittle yellow plastic door inserts!) was ready for the landfill! 🚛🗑️

But with a lot of love and a lot of elbow grease, it’s now ready for its brand new home! ♥️🏡

The doors were removed, the brittle yellow plastic was tossed, the hinges were all filled and sanded, all the old finish was removed and then the base and cubbies were painted in Jett Black by Melange to perfectly compliment the Ebony SFO added to the base and the top 😍

Some colours from the original collection are going to be re-introduced with new names as well and I’m so excited! 💃🎉

People say “painting furniture is therapy” and to some that may sound exaggerated or maybe even a little bit silly or “woo woo” 🙄😆😵‍💫

BUT I’m sure if I ask all the furniture refinishers out there (Ya, you! Even those of you “just doing it for fun—I’m talking about you too!) they’d agree! 😄

I recently came in contact with a lovely client that is new to the neighbourhood. She’s had me refinish a few pieces for her now…this console table is the latest one.

Again, Deanna chose Jett Black by with a blend of stains by for a cohesive look so it will match her other pieces. Thank you so much for supporting my small business Deanna—I truly appreciate it! 🥰

🔥🚨ATTENTION—COMING IN HOT! 🚨🔥

Melange paints has been working INCREDIBLY hard reinventing their brand and will be doing a full relaunch in July—SO exciting—the new line looks gorgeous! 💃🤩🎉

BUT, to make room for all the new stock, I’ve decided to mark all of my remaining jars down to BELOW COST! That’s right! They are now $20 per jar! 🤯

My lovely client Jody dropped this cabinet off for me to customize and I couldn’t wait to start working on it…some pieces just excite you…this was one of those pieces! 🤩

Jody has had me work on a number of other pieces for her in the past so now she comes in with a vision—Jett Black paint (by ) paired with Kona stain (by ). The combo is a match made in heaven! ✨🖤✨

Good thing for AI—it staged it quite nicely for me this time! 🤩

Please let me know what you think! Sometimes when your head is in a million different places, you just have to give yourself some grace, roll with it and make do right? 🤷‍♀️
