Popping back on here with a pop of colour on a dreary October day.

What can I say about this day in August? One I will always remember that’s for sure- it was a double header day and I was completely immersed in flowers for about 18 hours straight- as I drove to deliver this first set of flowers I couldn’t help but get emotional.

This bouquet for Kira became one of my favourite of the season. The thing with growing seasonal flowers is you don’t always know exactly what a bouquet will look like until the day arrives. The flowers that end up in your hands as you arrange is always a bit of an act of magic. I loved how this cute bouquet came to life for a lady who radiates so so much joy and is clearly loved very much by everyone around her. It was just so beautiful to see.

The arch set up on the front lawn of Dundee overlooking the quiet, shimmering Bras D’Or Lakes was like a fairytale.

Not quite ready to let Summer go.

A quiet August evening after a hot, busy day putting together these wedding flowers for Liam and Stephanie.

Pretty shades of lavender and white for a wedding are always so classic and dreamy. A true garden bouquet, made with flowers that may have grown in my Grandpa’s garden once upon a time. Traced with the scent of handfuls of sweet peas.

August 1st

Behind the scenes of some of my most favourite wedding flowers for two of my most favourite people. Everything homegrown- bright and fun and full of character for sweetheart Maggie who married our long time farm hand and my brother from another mother, Jacob.

These were a joy to put together. I particularly loved bringing the broken arch to life; though my pictures are few, being lost in the moment. Building them from the ground up, on a truly unique, hidden gem of a wedding site as mist fell and everyone hummed around getting ready was so peaceful and enjoyable. Installs are for sure my favourite way to showcase flowers.

All my love for this special day and the people who occupied it as well.

Couldn’t forget to share these photos of Ali & Keely’s beautiful day in Lake Ainslie mid-July! Sweet, fun and natural flowers for friends who you could describe as the same.

2 more weddings delivered today and now to prepare for my sister’s wedding next weekend! It’s one that’s been a long time coming… a date with meaning and we’ve got a busy week in store- excited for the magic and fun that is about to come.

Flowers of a time and a place, grown in season. A part of the natural, alluring surroundings of Cape Breton Island.

Time stood still for Sarah and Alex’s Wedding day in Ingonish. Blue skies and a gentle breeze overlooking a deep blue ocean. Could there have been a more perfect July day? I loved working with this couple who put so much thought into every detail; tea pots and silver platters, sugar bowls and crystal vases collected from family and friends to be filled with blooms, antique table cloths and a fun band and total presence with their family and friends.

Ahhh what a good life.
