Hello everyone! Just wanted to give an update on the current status of Tide and Thyme. I was hoping to have herbs available this winter, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, that won’t be possible right now. We are facing some new challenges, with a looming deadline and a very busy year ahead. I want to get back to transplants in the spring if all goes according to plan, but I will keep you all in the loop!! I can’t believe I’m saying this already, but I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and the very best for the new year and happy garden planning!! ☺️

Here at the night market!!! Old school! Pumpkins, squash, cukes!!

07/22/2023

As long as we don’t wash out to sea before next week, we will be at the school for the night market during festival days! I’ve had so many people ask for pumpkins and squash so I will have limited quantities of these transplants:

Baby Pams (pie)
Jack-o-Lanterns 🎃
Buttercup Squash
Green Zucchini

I still have a few peppers and tomatoes left, as well as some much larger, more established tomatoes for anyone whose plants went for a swim this weekend. 🌊 ☔️

We are winding down for veggie transplants but if we ever see sun again, keep an eye out for other goodies! ☀️ 🌱

I’m being told there are still lobster dinners left at the firehall!!! Get yours while you can!!!! 🦞 🤤

Cucumber plants were a hot commodity last week! I had lots of people asking what I do to deter cucumber beetles. I haven’t had a lot of issues with this myself, but a great natural alternative to pesticides is companion planting. Planting certain things in proximity to each other can be quite beneficial. In the case of cucumbers, chives can deter beetles, planting nasturtiums nearby can actually draw pests away from the cucumbers and be a “trap”. Hot peppers are said to prevent diseases and rot. Such great natural options for avoiding problems in the garden!

The recycling/donation box is at the cafe! Already received a couple generous donations of pots and trays 😀 If you have a larger amount or large items, you can send me a message or place by my greenhouse beside the cafe. Thank you so much!

Thank you to everyone who came to the fire department yardsale today. I am so appreciative of everyone that has been supportive of my new business venture and happy to see the support for the fire department! Though the veggie transplants are winding down, I still have a few tomatoes, peppers and some pickling cucumber plants left if anyone is looking. Message me!

In the interest of being environmentally friendly and reducing plastic waste, I will be leaving a pot/tray recycling bin at the Overstreet Cafe. If anyone would like to return or donate any pots or trays from your garden purchases, I would be happy to take them off your hands!! Thank you in advance! 🪴 ♻️
