If you're comparing snow removal plans in North York, Scarborough, or Markham this month, you've probably noticed most companies offer two response windows after a snowfall. Here's how to think about it:

⏱️ 6-10 hour window: More affordable, and still gets your driveway cleared well within the same day for most snowfalls. Great if you work from home or don't need your driveway first thing in the morning.

🍁 October weather check for North York, Scarborough, and Markham

The Old Farmer's Almanac has early October sunny and chilly through about the 6th, then a mix of rainy stretches and warm spells, with a cooler, wetter pattern arriving around mid-month. Their Canadian winter outlook also has southern Ontario snowier than normal this year.

Translation: the leaves haven't finished falling, but winter prep shouldn't wait until they have.

A quick early-October checklist:
