Taking in the tranquility of a late September morning from my peaceful downtown adjacent back yard.
The weather is changing, leaves are falling, and soon we'll be bundling up and making sure we leave enough time to shovel before we have to go anywhere.
Be sure to take a moment and take it all in. Take a deep breath of fresh air. Take in the nature that surrounds us. Take time to recharge when necessary. Take in the moment, while it's here.
As I approach the start of both another year of doing what I do, as well as 900 career projects (single handedly), I must also take a moment to express some gratitude.
Thank you.
It's because of all of you that I'm lucky enough to get to do what I do.
Thank you for inviting me into your home when it was still lines on a screen, before the first shovel even hit the ground.
Thank you for working with me to help make your dreams become reality.
Thank you for trusting me like you did my dad for 60-plus years. He was great. No bias whatsoever, of course.
Thank you to my Legacy builder clients, who started with dad, continued with me, and are now mostly enjoying retirement or have sadly left us, their own legacies intact and shining (that's for you, Ray...)
Thank you to my newer builder clients, some established, and some new, who are working with me while they cement their own legacies in their respective areas across the province.
Thank you for coming back for your next phase, whether it was a garage, an addition, or a whole new house! I'm very aware that as the price tag climbs, repeat business is harder to come by than (equally important!) services such as hair care, mechanical services, and the like. It is appreciated that you enjoyed the process with me enough to come back and do it again.
And thank you for your referrals. Even with this social media presence, I continue to help people while maintaining a relatively low public profile...for now. More on that later.
As always, if you would be so kind, take a moment to share this among your friends, followers, and family. Somebody out there may need to hear this, while others may need to know more about the things I can do for them.
And now I've taken up too much of your time. Have a fantastic day everybody!
