The Christmas season at Meeko has been exceptionally busy, and we are so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us. Thank you for choosing our handmade pieces to honour your clients and staff this year.

​As an artisanal business, we pride ourselves on the fact that every board is made by hand, not by a machine. This commitment to quality means we sometimes have to limit our orders. We offer our apologies to those we couldn't fit into the schedule this season; we would much rather say 'no' than deliver anything less than our best.

And Just Like That.....the Meeko Butcher Block! BTW did anyone notice we did step 1 and then went straight to step 3? 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ What happened to step 2? What is step 2? I think step 2 is stop. .breath and don't panic, they will get done on time. They always do.

Did the journey to steps 4 and 5 feel longer than expected? It did for me! 🤣 For a two-person operation like ours, tackling a big order takes time and we prioritize quality over speed to ensure everything is perfect.

Step 4: Defining the Finish. Achieving a silky-smooth surface through detailed sanding and creating the functional juice groove.

​Step 5: The Mineral Oil Rejuvenation. A luxurious soak in a food-grade mineral oil bath to hydrate, protect, and reveal the board's rich, natural luster.
