UPDATE: September 26: The northbound right-hand lane of the Trans-Canada Highway between the Island Highway overpass and the Six Mile Road overpass has reopened.

🚧 Trans-Canada Highway lane closure for water main repairs

Beginning tomorrow, September 25, the northbound right-hand lane of the Trans-Canada Highway between the Island Highway overpass and the Six Mile Road overpass will be closed while crews complete repairs to a major regional water transmission main. Crews will work 24 hours a day and anticipate the repairs will be complete by Monday, September 28.

Until the repairs are complete, we're asking residents and businesses on the Saanich Peninsula and in Saanich to reduce and delay non-essential water use, including outdoor watering, car washing and other discretionary uses.

“If your TMP looks like the last project, it probably isn’t written for this one.”

A TMP shouldn’t be a recycled template with a new project name. It should reflect the actual conditions on your site—traffic volumes, vulnerable road users, equipment movements, sightlines, intersections, driveways, emergency access, worker exposure, and the hazards your crews will actually face.
