🔨 WHY DOES PREP WORK MATTER?
A great finished project starts before the paint, stain, or final materials ever go on.
At East Coast Contracting, we believe proper preparation is one of the most important parts of getting professional, long-lasting results.
Cleaning, sanding, scraping, repairing damaged areas, protecting surrounding surfaces, and making sure everything is ready for installation may not be the most exciting part of a project — but it's what separates a quick job from a quality job.
Proper prep can:
✅ Help paint and stain bond properly
✅ Create a smoother, cleaner finish
✅ Identify damage before it's covered up
✅ Reduce peeling, cracking, and premature failure
✅ Help the finished work last longer
✅ Deliver the professional appearance you're paying for
The finished product is only as good as the work underneath it.

HOME MAINTENANCE: SMALL PROBLEMS CAN BECOME BIG REPAIRS
Your home takes a beating from Newfoundland weather. Wind, rain, moisture, snow, and changing temperatures can turn minor exterior issues into expensive repairs if they're left too long.
A quick inspection now can save a lot of trouble later.
Keep an eye out for: 🔨 Loose or damaged deck boards
🏡 Weak or damaged fence sections
🎨 Peeling or chipped paint
💧 Clogged or poorly draining areas
🪵 Soft, cracked, or deteriorating wood
See something that doesn't look right? East Coast Contracting can help. From repairs and maintenance to exterior renovations and carpentry, we'll help keep your property looking great and ready for whatever Newfoundland throws at it.

🔧 TOOL SPOTLIGHT | The Right Tools. The Right Results.
At East Coast Contracting, quality work starts with having the right equipment for the job.
Today we're featuring our Simoniz 1750 PSI / 1.8 GPM Pressure Washer — a compact machine we use for smaller cleaning projects and detailed exterior work where controlled cleaning matters.
💦 Great for: 🏡 Siding & exterior surfaces
🪵 Decks & patios
🔨 Fences
🚶 Walkways
✨ General exterior cleaning
Professional pressure washing can remove built-up dirt and grime, refresh tired-looking surfaces, and prepare decks and fences for staining or painting.
And the equipment is only part of it — proper technique, preparation, and attention to the surface are what make the difference.
