While working at the greenhouse, I asked a coworker I deeply respected which flower was her favorite. With thousands of blooms surrounding us, I couldn’t imagine how she’d choose just one. Her answer left me in awe.

She told me about a sweltering summer evening she spent with her granddaughter. As they sat outside, my coworker began complaining about the dandelions taking over the lawn, wondering aloud what she could use to stop them from growing. Her granddaughter interrupted with a simple, "Why?"
Curious, she listened as the little girl explained: "Dandelions are God’s favorite flower, so He puts them everywhere."

Since that day, my view of dandelions has completely changed. Every time I hear a client vent about these "weeds," I gently remind them of their hidden beauty. It’s a story I share often with my own children, and it makes me so much more grateful for every "wildflower" bouquet they pick for me. We proudly display them in a vase for all to see.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms today. May your day be blessed, and may you see every dandelion for its resilience, its beauty, and—most importantly—as a favorite in the eyes of a child.

Met a very important "supervisor" on the job today! 🐾 After a quick cuddle break, we got right back to work and finished up the gardens. There’s nothing like a friendly greeting to make a day outside even better! 🧤🌿
